Getting settled · Banking paperwork

A bank account in France.
Get the paperwork in order.

I help you make sense of a bank’s document requests, organise the information it asks for and handle factual correspondence in French. If your first request has stalled or been refused, we can work out the administrative next step.

What I can help with

From the first request to a clear next step.

We agree which practical tasks I will handle once I understand your situation.

01

Find a starting point

I can help identify banks you could contact, clarify their published document requirements and prepare factual questions to ask in French.

02

Prepare the paperwork

I’ll organise the identity, address and other supporting documents a bank has requested, flag missing items and help present your factual information clearly.

03

Handle document requests

I can explain a bank’s reply in English, draft factual correspondence for your approval and help keep track of documents requested and sent.

04

Know what to do after a refusal

If a bank declines your request, I can help you understand the written response and, where relevant, organise the paperwork for the Banque de France’s right-to-an-account procedure.

Pricing

A written quote for the work involved.

The scope depends on what documents you already have, what the bank has requested and whether there has been a refusal.

How it works

One clear task at a time.

01

Describe your situation

Tell me where you are in the process and what reply or document request you have received.

02

Agree the work and price

I’ll confirm the administrative steps I can take on and send a written quote before starting.

03

Prepare and keep track

I’ll complete the agreed work, explain responses in English and tell you what needs your own action.

Your account

The decision stays with you and the bank.

You complete the bank’s identity checks, approve the information supplied in your name and sign your own account agreement. You keep your passwords and verification codes.

The bank explains its products and fees and decides whether to open the account. I help with the agreed paperwork and correspondence, but cannot guarantee acceptance or a processing date.

Good to know

Common questions.

Can you help me find a bank to contact?

Yes. I can help identify institutions to approach and make factual enquiries about their opening requirements. The bank explains its account terms and fees; you choose whether to apply.

Can I prepare an application before arriving in France?

We can organise available documents and ask a bank what it requires. Whether it can open the account before you arrive depends on its own process and identity checks.

What if my application is refused?

If you meet the conditions and a bank refuses to open an account, the Banque de France’s right-to-an-account procedure may be available. I can help organise the factual documents for that procedure.

Will you access my online banking?

No. Your logins, security codes, account agreement and any money movements remain in your hands.
